Lumpia Shanghai

Servings: 25 rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground pork (can substitute with ground chicken)
  • 1/2 lb shrimp
  • 1/2 cup green onions
  • 1 cup carrots, finely shredded
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 raw egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • Lumpia wrapper (Spring roll skin)
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  • 1. Mix all the ingredients with the pork starting with the onion, carrots, green onions, salt, soy sauce, ground pepper, and raw egg.
  • 2. Wrap about 1 ½ tbsp. meat in the lumpia wrapper.
  • 3. Fry the lumpia until golden brown, making sure that all the sides are cooked evenly.
  • Serve with sweet and sour sauce.
