Roasted Okra
Okra is one of my favorite vegetables and I would love for more people to know how tasty it can be! I especially like it in masalas or roasted like in this recipe. This is really easy recipe and makes for an unusual appetizer.
- 2 lbs. okra rinsed and ends cut
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 4 tsp garam masala*
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
2. Cut the okra in half lengthwise and pat dry.
3. Toss with oil, salt and garam masala.
4. Place in a single layer on a tray.
5. Broil for 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
Serves 4 to 6 as an appetizer.
*Garam masala is available in most grocery stores.
