Mirembe Apron Sale!
These Aprons were created in collaboration with SeaTac Business owner Jacinta, owner of Jacinta's African Apparels. Mirembe means peace in Luganda, one of the languages spoken in Southern Uganda, where Jacinta is from. Proceeds from the aprons will go towards our culinary job training program for immigrants and refugees.
In 2000, Jacinta migrated from Uganda to the United States. She enrolled in college and graduated in Business Management. After college, Jacinta found herself working at a hospital. She wanted more, and the dream of owning her own clothing store was always in the back of her mind. Jacinta pushed on and pursed her passion of design and in 2009 she enrolled in the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tukwila, Washington. She graduated with an Associate in Fashion Design in 2011. In 2014, she turned her dream into a reality, she opened Jacinta’s African Apparels in SeaTac.
